Zeny electric guitar is one of the best-sellers on amazon. On the first look, with it’s extra components, it is a good deal.
The question is, is Zeny guitar any good?
Here’s a spoiler:
It’s not the best beginner guitar out there, but don’t go crossing it off the list yet. There are still some fight left in this guitar, or does it?
Review of: Zeny Electric Guitar

A super cheap electric guitar that may fit any beginner’s budget.
Before I start mumbling about the Zeny Electric guitar, please note that this is only for beginners. So, if you’re an advanced, or professional player, you’re in the wrong place.
If that’s the case, you should check out my best electric guitar list.
Surprisingly, the sound quality of the Zeny is actually tolerable. Then again, not the best, but “good enough.” On that note, you can greatly improve the sound by changing the strings.
For the amplifier, it can still produce a great volume but the tonal quality is just sufficient.
The pickups have three pickup configurations. You can also control the volume, bass, and treble tones. For any of these controls or configurations, you won’t notice a drastic difference compared to other quality guitars.
I suppose it’s understandable since it’s a cheap guitar.
They say that it’s ready to play out of the box. I hate to break it to you but no. You actually have to do some adjustments before you can play it.
It’s a full-sized guitar, so it’s not really ideal for kids. With that in mind, its maple neck is still playable.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t stay in tune. Plus, it’s really tricky to tune it! If you’ve used a real guitar before this, you might even get frustrated.
Last but not the least, depending on the guitar you may get (they’re not all the same), its intonation may be all over the place. If that’s the kind of guitar you will get, it’s not even worth playing and paying!
Are Zeny Guitars any good?
I’m not saying I know everything about guitars, but I’ve reviewed hundreds of guitar so I can tell for sure that this isn’t a good one.
Here’s the deal:
I honestly think they don’t know much about guitars. For one thing, Zeny is not a dedicated guitar brand, it’s more like a generic brand for cheap rip-off stuff.
Most popular guitar brands focus on musical instruments, and they actually have teams or departments working on improving the quality. Based on actual data. So, their goal is not just to earn money, but to actually deliver you quality instruments you can truly enjoy.
On the other hand, this brand’s vision (I assume), is to take your money. Without any care on your satisfiability. You want proof? They have a no-return policy.
Brand is not everything, but in this case it is a big deal.
One of the features they’re highlighting is it has “steel strings.” In my head, all I can think of: “Yeah all electric guitars have steel strings, what do you expect, nylon strings?”
They can’t even spell “bass” correctly. For a brand that sells you a guitar, will you really trust someone with almost non-existent music/guitar knowledge?
Final thoughts on Zeny Electric Guitar
In conclusion, the Zeny electric guitar has an agreeable quality. Considering that there are a lot included, it’s a good value for its price. Then again, I don’t recommend it. If you’re looking for a cheap beginner guitar, you can use my list for ideas:
P.S It’s better to spend a little bit more, instead of regretting the literal cheap purchase.
